Who We Are
Albertina Sisulu Centre was named and founded by Mrs. Albertina Sisulu.
Before the establishment of the centre, priority needs were identified. Amongst the needs was a school for learners with special educational needs and an ECD centre. The Sisulu family saw it fit to contribute to the people of Soweto by building a centre that will try to address those needs.
The Sisulu family trust in partnership with the government injected millions of rand to build the centre.
The centre started operating as a registered school for learners with special educational needs in May 2004.
To empower learners to function successfully as valued citizens.
To provide inclusive learning opportunities through consultation and collaboration with all the stakeholders.
